Event Objectives & Content

This introductory course was designed to:

  • Further an understanding of the principles of GMP, HACCP and Food Safety.
  • Provide an overview of the elements of a Food Safety program and how the program may be used within an organization.
  • Build an awareness of typical Food Safety tools, techniques and resources.
  • Review the roles, responsibilities and expectations of the Food Safety Team.

We will discuss topics such as:

  • The purpose and benefits of a Food Safety program.
  • Basic GMP, HACCP and Food Safety principles.
  • Overview of the different approaches to Food Safety.
  • Food Safety tools, techniques and resources.
